Armed Security Officer – Religious Facility

Location: Westport, CT

The successful candidate will be:

• Security minded retired officers or experienced professionals seeking part-time work
• Dependable, professional, and experienced in armed security environments
• Calm and confident under pressure; able to interact respectfully with the public
• Maintains a professional appearance (suit and tie required) and high grooming standards

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe and secure environment for patrons and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises
• Greet visitors and maintain accurate access control logs
• Provide a visible, reassuring security presence
• Respond professionally to incidents and follow post orders with sound judgment

Schedule

• Thursday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: Must be available 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: Must be available 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Additional hours may be available depending on coverage needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• Must hold a valid Connecticut Armed Security Guard License with endorsement
• Armed security experience required
• Must be self-sufficient, trustworthy, and professional when working independently
• Must be able to pass a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, and education
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Must have reliable transportation
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to pass all required training classes, exams, and inspections per company and federal standards

Note: Prior law enforcement or military experience is not required, though candidates with professional or retired law enforcement/military backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
