Position Title: Assembler

Wage: $17.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm

QPS Employment Group has an exciting 1st shift Assembly position at a busy Rockford manufacturer. This position has the opportunity for hire.

Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform basic assembly of small ball-nut components using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, hammers, and other equipment as necessary.
- Review part drawings and assembly instructions to gather necessary components and ensure correct assembly of ball-nut parts.
- Inspect product throughout the assembly process using basic measuring tools, ensuring ball-nut components meet required specifications.
- Document daily assembly activities, including part counts, machine performance, and material usage in the ERP system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely production output.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S methodologies.
- Assist with material handling, including moving raw materials and finished products to and from workstations as needed.
- Perform quality assurance checks on completed products, particularly ball-nut components, to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.

Assembler Requirements:
- Previous assembly experience is required.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain quality throughout the assembly process.
