Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf course in Charlotte, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
Work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Senior Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Head Equipment Manager to maintain and oversee the daily maintenance operations of the golf course and clubhouse grounds using all necessary tools at our disposal to maintain and enhance the property. The right candidate should have experience in and basic knowledge of course maintenance practices, prior experience with basic fertilizer and chemical applications, and a variety of basic knowledge and experience operating mowers and equipment used in the industry. This position would be involved in the daily scheduling, supervising of projects and staff. Also included would be diagnosing, record keeping, placing orders, and planning. Some prior experience with residential/commercial irrigation knowledge is a plus. This role works alongside the golf course management team to provide top notch conditions throughout the property. The right candidate is an initiative-taking individual with a knowledge and passion to learn the necessary maintenance practices required for the club and all its properties.

Requirements:
2- or 4-year degree in turfgrass management or the goal to obtain a turf degree.
Ability to obtain a North Carolina pesticide applicators license within 90 days of employment.
Golf course putting greens management experience preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of course maintenance practices.
Prior experience with basic fertilizer and chemical applications.
Basic knowledge and experience operating mowers and equipment used in the industry.

Compensation:
$19 – $22 per hour.
