Machine Operator****21-25/hr 3rd shift. 5:30-4AM

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled EDM Operator to join our team in a dynamic and technically advanced environment. The position involves setting up and operating electro-discharge machines (EDM) to produce high-quality turbine engine aerospace parts. The role requires a strong focus on quality and efficiency, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and fix defects in machinery.

Responsibilities

• Load and set up parts in the machine and inspect them for quality.
• Operate both conventional and 5-axis EDM machines, which may be water-based, oil-based, or wire EDMs.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings accurately.
• Troubleshoot and fix defects with the machinery.
• Prepare various logs and records to document machine operation and daily production.
• Set up and switch jobs as required, with training provided.
• Maintain an efficiency of more than 98% on a daily basis.

Essential Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with CNC or other metal machine operation.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
