Beech Mountain Resort is a premier year-round destination offering skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and a variety of outdoor activities. In addition to these activities, the resort hosts a range of exciting events throughout the year, including live music concerts, festivals, and community gatherings. We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our Event Security team to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests during these events.

Position Overview:

As an Event Security Staff member, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security during various events at Beech Mountain Resort. This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible hours, primarily focused on events such as live music concerts, festivals, and other resort-sponsored activities. You will play a critical role in crowd control, monitoring event areas, checking IDs, and providing excellent customer service to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crowd Control: Ensure orderly behavior and assist with maintaining safe crowd sizes during events.
  • ID Checking: Verify guest identities at entry points to ensure compliance with age restrictions (e.g., for alcohol sales).
  • Monitoring Event Areas: Patrol designated areas to monitor for any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Guest Assistance: Provide information and directions to guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with event coordinators, other security personnel, and resort staff to ensure a smooth event operation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security, event management, or customer service is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical duties (walking, monitoring crowds, etc.).
  • Must have a friendly and approachable demeanor to interact with guests.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend shifts, depending on event schedules.
