The Executive Chef 2 position is located at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island in Rock Island, IL.

 

 

SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. What You'll Do:

• implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital;
• be responsible for Food and Physical Safety and annual training for all hourly associates;
• manage, direct, and mentor frontline staff;
• procurement and purchasing;
• create menus based on client needs;
• implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and patient services;

• strong management skills and experience;
• menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends;
• the ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team;
• ability to handle change and maintain professionalism in changing environments;
• creative and effective problem-solving and project management skills;
• proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused;

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
