Locum Tenens Neurosurgeon Needed in Northern Michigan

A well-established hospital in Northern Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This is a hospital-based position focused on providing 24-hour call coverage for 14 days per month , including daily rounding and patient admits. The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced professional who can perform both spinal and cranial procedures.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for 14 days per month.
• Perform emergent and scheduled surgeries.
• Conduct daily inpatient rounding.
• Manage a daily caseload of 5-10 inpatients.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for all patient documentation.

• Required: Active Michigan medical license. (No IMLC accepted).
• Required: Board Certification. (No Board Eligible candidates).
• Required: Proven experience with both spinal and cranial procedures.
• Required: Prior experience of at least 2-3 years, with a completed fellowship.
