Job Title : Onboarding Specialist

Location : Richmond, VA 23219

Duration : 2+ Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance)

Schedule : 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Pay Rate : $21.98/hour

Job Summary:

  • The HR Employment Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to selected candidates being hired across client Health Systems.
  • This role serves as the first point of contact at HR Xpress for candidates being onboarded.
  • The Onboarding Assistant ensures candidate completion of new hire paperwork including background check and work authorization forms.
  • The OA is also responsible for keen verification of I-9 documents, accurate submittal of background and work authorization documents through 3rd party vendors in a timely manner.
  • The Onboarding Assistant takes badge pictures and uploads to appropriate database.
  • Lastly the Onboarding Assistant will function as a representative of client Health Systems as patrons, visitors and/or staff of the hospital may ask for directions or other questions.

Experience REQUIRED:

  • 0-1 years of customer service experience in a call center or area with high volume of telephone inquiries.

Experience PREFERRED

  • 1-2 years of Healthcare or Human Resource experience

Education/training REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED:

  • Some college coursework in HR or related field

Independent action(s) required:

  • Must have aptitude for technology and be comfortable working in many different systems.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills with ability to provide high quality customer service.
  • Must be team-focused, self-motivated, and work with a modest degree of supervision.
  • Able to multi-task in fast paced environment while being detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism under any situation is critical.
