Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner

Full-Time / Competitive Salary

Nurse Practitioner Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated orthopedic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with orthopedic conditions, working collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing with a focus on the Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure.
  • BLS/ACLS certification (required).
  • Strong clinical skills in orthopedic care, including experience with musculoskeletal assessments and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Nurse Practitioner Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions (e.g., fractures, joint injuries, arthritis, etc.).
  • Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care, including wound management, follow-up appointments, and patient education.
  • Provide education to patients and families about orthopedic health, treatment options, and recovery plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and lab results.
  • Prescribe medications, perform joint injections, and assist with minor procedures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the orthopedic team to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care.
  • Document patient progress in medical records and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
