Overview
TRC Security and Emergency Management Services helps its clients assess and plan for current threats while accounting for possible future concerns to create and sustain a security program that is robust, viable, and adapts as required to changing conditions over time. Our services include:

POSITION SUMMARY
This Security Consultant will be a trusted member of a growing team responsible for supporting our government and commercial sector clients in assessing, recommending, and implementing security approaches. This position will require a well-rounded physical and operational security background and will include some level of business development and client/project management. The ability to work as part of a coordinated team is critical. This is a mid-level position with growth potential.
The Security Consultant may report to TRC offices in the Northeast, Midwest, West or Southwest are preferred, but other TRC office locations in the lower 48 states will be considered.
Responsibilities
Conduct security assessments and develop comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures, often in collaboration with other team members and clients
Work with the various law enforcement and regulatory agencies as required
Synthesize and analyze human-induced threat and natural hazard data
Author reports, technical memos, and other deliverables
Develop presentations and deliver training content at client locations
Interact with a diverse set of clients including government agency personnel, public officials, business, and nonprofit staff
Travel throughout the U.S. (travel estimated at 15-25% of the year)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in security or emergency management, systems engineering, international relations, homeland security or other applicable field
Seven (7) or more years of related/relevant experience
Self-motivated
Excellent technical writing skills
Familiarity with electronic security system platforms/technologies (video, access controls, etc.)
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team to support business objectives
Work closely with government emergency management, law enforcement and security agencies
Ability to travel periodically to meet client and project needs
Ability to work in commercial and industrial settings and follow strict safety protocols
Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to pass multiple detailed background checks (including criminal history) and drug screening
US Citizen, with current driver's license and ability to travel by air, bus, train, etc.
Proficiency with standard MS Office tools, laptop computers, and/or related tools
The ability to occasionally walk and/or stand for extended periods of time, often in outdoor environments
Basic business acumen and the ability to understand and support client relationships
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bi-or multi-lingual skills are a plus
Master's degree is a plus
Certifications such as Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) via ASIS International, CPTED, other related areas are a plus.
Knowledge of BPATS, ISC, and FEMA assessment methodologies helpful.
Knowledge of various security requirements for various sectors of critical infrastructure are valued.

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
USD $90,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
