Senior Accountant at CFI

Senior Accountant at Certified Flooring Installation (CFI)

Newport, KY, Levee office | 100% in office | $80,000 to $90,000 base salary

• Shape the accounting function during a period of transition and growth
• Own the monthly close and reporting cadence
• Partner directly with operations and leadership

What you will do

• Lead month end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and P&L review by department
• Build and maintain budgets and forecasts with operations leaders
• Prepare monthly reporting packages with clear variance analysis and KPIs
• Track and control expenses, and recommend approval workflows for better visibility
• Oversee the accuracy of work handled by in house bookkeepers, and ensure GAAP compliant entries
• Tighten processes, standardize checklists, and improve chart of accounts hygiene
• Coordinate priorities and knowledge transfer with the fractional CFO
• Support ad hoc analysis that improves margins and operational visibility

What you bring

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience that includes monthly close and budgeting
• Strength in P&L analysis, reconciliations, and management reporting
• Experience reviewing and guiding bookkeepers work
• Advanced Excel and working knowledge of modern accounting systems
• Industry exposure in construction, manufacturing, or field services is a plus
• CPA or pursuit preferred, not required
