Senior Natural Gas Scheduler

With a vision to be the premier LNG exporter in North America, Golden Pass, a joint venture of Qatar Petroleum & ExxonMobil, is constructing an LNG export terminal on the Gulf Coast near Sabine Pass, Texas where it currently has an LNG import terminal. Golden Pass LNG's mission is to bring clean energy from Texas to power the world.

As part of its vision and mission and consistent with its transformation from an LNG import to an LNG export business, Golden Pass is undergoing rapid growth and is seeking a Senior Natural Gas Scheduler. The Senior Natural Gas Scheduler will be responsible for working with a team of traders and schedulers to timely and accurately nominate on the pipeline Electronic Bulletin Boards (EBB) in support of the commercial organization. This position will report to the Gas Scheduling Manager and is located in Houston, TX.

Essential Duties / Functions

1. Scheduling all physical natural gas for the commercial team across multiple pipelines.
2. Identify short-term transportation or storage opportunities to optimize the portfolio.
3. Track and manage pipeline imbalances and/or storage balances relative to contractual terms as well as determining any optimization opportunities.
4. Correct intra-day nominations as needed.
5. Proactively communicate pipeline market information with the commercial team.
6. Capture nomination and actualized data in the ETRM system.
7. Maintain tariff rate charges.
8. Identify areas of improvement for operational efficiencies and drive the associated changes and improvements.
9. Provide leadership to more junior schedulers.
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties.
11. Represent the Company at relevant industry events.
12. Liaise with the settlements and middle office teams to ensure timely and accurate position, P&L, and settlements information.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

Minimum experience required of the position.

• 10 or more years of experience in the natural gas markets.
• Experience working with multiple electronic bulletin boards (EBBs) and ETRM systems. Endur experience preferred but not required.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.

• Extensive knowledge of the North American pipeline systems, tariffs, and movement of natural gas in multiple regions.
• Ability to make sound commercial decisions with limited input from others.
• Experience working with limited supervision.
• Consistently able to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent data management and organization capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ETRM and various EBBs.
• Ability to provide evening and weekend scheduling support as needed.
• Strong time management skills.
