Job Title: Structural Welder

TRAVEL Pay: $30/hr. $133 per diem

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with over 5 years of commercial or naval experience

Responsibilities

• Perform tack, fillet, and full penetration welding on steel foundations and structural and pipe joints.
• Utilize Shielded Metal Arc Welding ( SMAW ) and Flux Cored Arc Welding ( FCAW ) techniques.
• Work on production projects for aircraft carriers and submarines.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a first-class structural welder in a commercial or naval setting.
• Proficiency in SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
• Strong ability to work with steel foundations and structural and pipe joints.

Work Environment

The work environment is located in Southeast Virginia, within a vast shipyard that stretches over 5 miles. Employees will experience hot and muggy conditions during the summer and cooler temperatures in the winter. All work is performed on a Navy vessel or in a shop setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
