Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a Birth Center with night shifts and a focus on LDRP experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Birth Center with 20 beds, including 12 L&D, 8 postpartum/antepartum beds, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, and a 6-bed level II NICU
• Primary patient population consists of laboring, antepartum, and postpartum mothers and newborns
• Perform specialized procedures such as amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, and administration of Pitocin
• Circulate for C-sections is required; scrub experience is preferred
• Use the Epic EMR system
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No call required
• Teal scrubs provided by the facility
• Responsibilities include comprehensive care for mothers and newborns from admission through postpartum discharge
• Must be comfortable circulating in C-sections and providing mother-baby care
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Scrub color is teal, provided by the facility
• Weekend work is required on a rotating basis

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, with at least 1 year in LDRP
• Current BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications
• Ability to perform cervical exams, care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, including transition to discharge
• Experience in baby catching/receiving and APGAR assessments
• Knowledge of breastfeeding support
• Ability to work with multicultural patient populations; Russian/Spanish language skills preferred
