Job Summary:

The Skilled Laborer will support various renovation and construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. This role involves a variety of tasks including site preparation, material handling, basic carpentry, tiling, and general labor duties. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn new skills in the construction and renovation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by cleaning up debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing the site.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the work site.
• Construction Support: Assist with basic carpentry, masonry, tiling, and other renovation tasks as directed by the General Contractor.
• Tiling Assistance: Support the installation of tiles in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas, including surface preparation, cutting tiles, and applying grout.
• Tool Maintenance: Maintain and clean tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• General Labor: Perform various manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and operating basic machinery.
• Inspections Assistance: Help the General Contractor with site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.
• Communication: Report any issues or hazards to the General Contractor promptly.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction, renovation, or tiling is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and learn new skills.
• Attributes:
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Capability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces if necessary.
